“hell or high water”
I asked Debbie to pose in a few of my pieces inside her home on the west side of the South St./ Seaport neighborhood. Debbie makes custom dog leashes and harnesses. She was displaced for nine months after Hurricane Sandy in 2012.

I asked Kian if he would pose in this oversized baseball jersey on the rooftop of his home in lower Manhattan. Kian was wrongly accused of murder at age 21 and spent 9 years in prison. In the tenth year, at the dinner table with the family, his brother confessed to the crime. He was released and compensated by the state of New York on a wrongful conviction. Kian owns a lovely seafood restaurant in the South St./ Seaport.

I asked Bridget if she would pose in this dress from the fall collection. She’s beside a crown of thorns. This same plant has been in her family for over 150 years. Bridget lives on the true waterlines of the east river: Water St. Bridget is the Saint of the Seaport.
