Assembled with naturally dyed vintage pillowcases, tablecloths, napkins and table runners. The pieces were dyed with all natural dyes and painted with procion and natural sorrel ink and then cut for the jacket. The lining is made of vintage cotton napkins.

Using the diagrams and styles of stratigraphy, I layered images of fence posts, American Eagles, the titles Mr. & Mrs., explosions, and text written in ink GOODBYE TO THE NATION, a mill, and a victorian woman with her back to us looking up at the sky. I then cut and worked the piece into a mini skirt, finished completely by hand with neon yellow bias tape hiding the seams on the interior of the piece. The belt is made with the same material and closes with a bone belt loop. The skirt reads: NEVER BET THE DEVIL YOUR HEAD HE’LL DROP A DIME ON YOU.

I then painted a variety of flowers to decorate the border with orange ink to evoke fossils and other hidden life below the layers of earth on the riverbank of the East River. The pants have a small patch banner that reads : VENERATED MARTYR. The pants are finished by hand and close with vintage white shell buttons.

I overlaid deep green screen printed motifs of snakes, grass, roses and a woman ironing named HELEN. The lining is hand dyed silk with chartreuse.
The vintage tablecloth was dyed with pinecones to produce a beautiful saddened purple. I screenprinted the Scorpio and grass motif. Hand painted outlines and flowers decorate the piece. The piece closes with vintage mother of pearl buttons.
This robe was custom made out of vintage red silk and outlined with hot pink feathers. Red silk tape tie right below the bust. The style falls elegantly down the back evoking a riding jacket. The fall of the robe accentuates the form and the colors can’t be missed. A patch of two playing card clubs is hand sewn on the left side.
